british holiday demand

Record Demand From British Holidaymakers

We had our summer holiday early this year, the beginning of June we ventured to Cyprus for a week. I think it’s fair to say that we are regretting that decision now. British travel agents are experiencing record amounts of demand for summer holidays due to the appalling weather the UK has seen over the past 7 weeks. Not only has it been very wet, but it’s also managed to be windy and cold all at the same time. You don’t mind this sort of weather in the middle of winter but for June and July it’s just a bit much.

The school holidays are in full swing now and with any luck the weather will begin to change. We’ve not had the chance to get out and do anything with our daughter yet so here’s hoping! Now would seem to be the perfect time to get away for a summer break, after all there is no better feeling than leaving the miserable cold of home behind for some hot summer fun. The way things seem to be going I think we’ll hold back next year and see what the weather is doing before we book, for all of you managing to escape this rubbish British summer for a warmer climate then I’m jealous!
